Michael Flynn ('77) Leads Wine and Food Pairing Event

Dolci was excited to contribute to a superb evening of wine and food pairing hosted by master sommelier Michael Flynn (Midd '77) last Saturday. The enticing menu included 8 different dishes and wines with items such as a 2014 Domaine de la Noblaie with Sweetneck Oysters; a 2013 Sonoma California Chardonnay with seared dry scallops and shaved fennel; and a 2012 Domaine de la Janesse Cotes-du-Rhone with Olive Tapenade.

We are hoping to have similar events in the future, so keep an eye out for them.


French Country Side this Friday 3/4

This Friday March 4th, Lea LeGardeur and Caitlin Towers will be cooking up a tasty storm with a meal in the French country vein. Think perfectly crispy duck, crusty white bread with honey butter and a sharp green salad. You will want to be there.

This Friday, February 19th, Mohamed Hussein and Patrick Schmidt will be leading a rustic meal inspired by flavors from around the Mediterranean! Think home-made ricotta with beets, barbecued lamb legs with almonds and orange blossom, and a fregula zesty salad.

wehmütig Dolci - 1/25

Hello Dolci Friends,

This Monday Ziyuan Qu and Mohamed Hussein will be leading a Dolci entitled wehmütig (Nostalgia). The chefs plan on mixing a wide variety of dishes from countries where they have previously lived. With everything from a hearty parsnip and sweet potato soup to sumac bison kufteh and edible rose mess, the meal promises to deliver a nebulous coziness that challenges your perception of the meaning of feeling at home. For those of you over 21, do bring two forms of valid ID and cash to take advantage of the cash bar available during the meal. We hope to see you there.

This Friday (11/6) at 6 pm, Jordan Collins will be leading an inspired Dolci. Think delicious vegan goodies such a creamy butternut squash and pistachio coconut icecream.
All courses have nuts.

Work Dolci this Friday!

This Friday marks the first Dolci of the year! Jordan Collins will be creating a delicious menu of vegan food that has been inspired by her last four years of cooking at and around Middlebury ("kitchinspirations," ja feel?) -- think Weybridge-inspired butternut squash with braised cabbage, and a dessert that is replete with a coconut pistachio ice cream.  To help out with the meal, sign up TONIGHT (SUNDAY) AT 9:00 P.M. As a reminder, working for Dolci is a paid position and there's absolutely no experience required. If you haven't worked Dolci before, you must get a green card filled out from SEO before joining us in the kitchen. Super doable! Here's the help we need this week:
